But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
II Thess 3:3

Even the weak can be giants

When we think about men of God in the bible and try to compare ourselves with them, we usually have a sense of intimidation on seeing what many of the great men of God have achieved.

These achievements were not done overnight, it was a journey filled with pain, struggle and perseverance.

Apostle Paul was a scholar, an evangelist, a compassionate pastor, a businessman, and a diplomatic statesman. Here are a few statements which show the great apostle paul grew in faith with relatively tough situations and his awareness of his own feelings.

  1. Took time to accept the true Faith

I Corinthians 15: 9 (NKJV) For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

  1. Nothing good lived in his flesh

Romans 7:18 (NKJV) For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.

  1. I am less than the least and also signifies the adoration to the grace that he has received; the saving grace

Ephesians 3: 18 (NKJV) To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ

  1. Of all the sinners, I am the chief – He did not shy away from accepting his sins

I Timothy 1:15 (NKJV) This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

When we look carefully at some of apostle pauls highs and lows and consider his life and our life we would have a very similar life. Paul was as human as any of us. His commitment did not develop in an instant

He had his share of challenges which made him strong and it forced him to grow

If there is hope for apostle paul, then there is hope for you and for me.
