But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
II Thess 3:3

Search your heart for trust! Psalm 4:4

“In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent.” Psalm 4:4

The psalmist, King David says these words in a situation of distress. David was a powerful King who could depend on his resources but he always asked God for help, and this is his secret to relying on God always.

When in situations that make us sad as well as angry, do not sin by making wrong decisions in your anger. Do not devise plans to pull down others. Rather when you are going to sleep, keep calm and search your hearts. Do not think of the situations and people, just ask yourself ‘Do you trust God is in control over your life and situations?’. If you are doubtful, ask God to help you trust in Him. Let not your day end with a bitter thought, but end it with a trusting and thankful heart.
